Kirkland Kernels Adventurer Club

Almost a year ago the Kirkland Seventh-Day Adventist Church started our very own Adventurer Club.

This club was led by a group of wonderful people, men and women came together to lead a group of children in this fun and exciting club.

We learned more about the Bible and God

We played games

We worked on earning awards

We had visitors and guest speakers

We learned new songs and practiced old ones

We pledged allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and the Bible

We learned and practiced the Adventurer Law

We prayed for the sick and prayed for the healthy

We had fun!

I was a Counselor, and honestly, I can not tell how much I enjoyed working with all the "Staff"; it was a great way to build stronger friendships, accepting that we all don't have to agree on the same things but instead we learned to work together.

I loved my kids happy faces every Tuesday night while they were getting their Adventurer Club's uniform ready for Wednesdays.

I feel blessed because God gave me the opportunity to be a part of the Kirkland Kernels Adventurer Club.

On Saturday, May 14th, 2011, we had our very first Adventurer Sabbath Day service.   The kids did an amazing job and their performance was just outstanding.  I felt so proud of my Sunbeams -and Nana and Nano, of course!

On the same day in the afternoon, we had our Investiture Service.  We got our pins.  Of course, Nano had to do something silly, but I was not able to catch his silliness because the camera's battery died... boomer!

We got some pretty good pictures though.

Even though every Wednesday was a very long day (school, work, club), I think I don't just speak for myself here, but we all had a wonderful time.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Adventurers, parents, leaders, counselors, helpers... you all make a difference in our lives!

Enjoy...
