Is it really? Wow! October already! Time has gone by so fast I think I am in denial! I want to share so much with you but I would need to divide this post into three or four!
We've been able to spend time with friends, with our family, loving every minute spent with the kids, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, saying good bye to loved ones who have left us like my paternal grandmother, Laura, after almost 100 years old, she is resting and waiting for Jesus' second coming. She is and will be missed by many, I just wish my kids had met her (she lived in Ecuador with the rest of my family).
On a different note, the kids are back in school, Nana in Fourth grade with Mrs. Andersen, and Nano in Second grade with the school's new teacher, Mrs. Nelson. During the last few years, they had 1st and 2nd grade combined classrooms as well as 3rd and 4th grade, but because of the increased amount of students enrolled this year, they decided to hire a new teacher, and with her being brand new to the school, Nano was very stressed out about starting school, a lot of conversations, love, and prayers helped him understand and accept the change. Now, he loves her!
I am still unemployed, it has been a struggle to find a job as great as the one I had at the family center, I miss them dearly. But on the bright side, I am able to spend some time at the school helping out during lunch and assisting Mrs. Nelson. Once, the first and second graders made bread, yes, bread! Mrs. Nelson had measured everything for them, they worked together in teams of two, it was just great to see kids trying to make the perfect dough and roll the perfect ball. They were so proud of themselves! I have to admit that when Nano brought his bread home, I was a little hesitant about trying it, but once I did, I did NOT want to give it back! It was delicious!
We started our church clubs, well, Nano graduated to the Sunbeam class with the Kirkland Kernels Adventurer club and Nana decided that she was old enough to go to the older kids club, the Sojourners Pathfinders. This year I am the Counselor for the Builders class, I got seven great kids!
I have been working on some handmade cards. You'll see them on my Etsy shop, make sure to stop by!
My laptop died -completely- making it impossible to recover pictures that were saved in the hard drive. I was heartbroken by now I am using google picasa as my back up.
Well, that's all for now, I wish you a happy fall season!
