A day away

Finally! The day I've been waiting for... Tomorrow I will finally get my cast removed!
Am I going to miss it? NO WAY!!
It's definitely been a challenge for all of us at home to have one member of the family in a non-walking situation.
Depending on people has never been one of my strengths, but thanks to God, I have learned that there are many marvelous people who have been of great support during these "fun" times.
The kids, Wes, and I are very excited to finish this part of the healing process.
Am I nervous? OF COURSE, I AM!
I will not have a cast anymore, but I will be on the walking cast, the same one I had prior to the surgery, and for the first time in a month and half I will be putting weight on my left foot, so, yeah, I am not looking forward to that, a little scared I should say, but I know God has been my support and will continue to be forever.
I have fallen so many times that I stopped keeping track! Have you ever walked on icy roads or snowy paths on crutches? If you have, you know how dangerous that is! The last time I fell was on Monday right after I got home from work, I tripped over and first landed on my cast and then so I could avoid any damage, I leaned forward and landed on my knees, they are a little scratch but you know what?? I am ok!
Good bye red cast… I hope not to see you again!!
