Building a network Last week, both of the kids were home sick with a cold, missing three days of school and work. I was leading out the worship part of our church's Adventurer Club and even though it was lots of fun, it certainly wasn't the same without my kids. They did get to hear the story I told but they kind of missed all the fun of spending time with their friends.
Well, one of those days that I was home, the kids were sleeping, and the laundry and dishwasher were running, I started to look into how I can learn more about all those fantastic crafty people out in the world.
Most people have some sort of media that helps them to keep up with their friends, family, work, news, hobbies, and whatever it is they like to know about.
After all my friends had told me about Facebook (not that I didn't know about it), I figured I should get a Facebook account as well and so I did. I opened a personal Facebook account and I was amazed with all the friends I found from Ecuador who I have not had any contact for the past 10 years. I was really excited to learn about them, what they've been up to, to see their beautiful families, etc.
There are many people who are very crafty when it comes about handmade cards, scrapbooking, paper crafts, etc, I realized that I also needed to be able to keep up with them. I enjoy cardmaking, there's lots of room for improvement, and I think that the best way to learn it is to ask...
Since nowadays, mostly everyone owns a Facebook account, I figured I should also create a Facebook Page (not the same as a personal account), where people can post comments, pictures, echange ideas, etc.
I am learning, more and more everyday, and I would really love for you to give me your feedback, check out my new Facebook page at Handmade Cards.
Let me know what you think...
Thank you for visiting my blog!
